Week 3

 Today was a bit overcast, and not so hot. Perfect for an outing in the beetle! Our car club had a run to a park in Stanwell Tops today. There was a cruise before meeting at the end destination, but with Dylan's nap times we weren't going to make it.  We packed up the beetle, wound down the windows, opened up the quarter windows and just cruised! Dylan giggled at the wind coming in and was happy the entire trip. Once there we set up our picnic rug amongst everyone and tucked in to the barbecue. Dylan happily munched on his sandwich and the finger foods I had packed but could not take his eyes off all the kiddies running around the playground area....

So here we go again. Linking in with the 52 project! My boy, avocado and cheese all over his face and wishing he was off having a play.

The park was great with plenty of room for the kiddies to run, a cafe area, and further off was the beach. Apparently somewhere in between was where all the hang gliders land after taking off from the mountain at Stanwell Tops.

We headed off after the sausages were consumed by the hoards.... Happens every time the club advertises an event with a "free barbecue"! Dylan was strapped in and we were ready to head home.



Couldn't help taking one more pic of my poor workhorse. Previously relegated to be the "station car", and now hubby's daily driver.  Although now sporting one more accessory! A resprayed, fixed up period roof rack! Previously known as the "rusty hat" but now looking quite spiffing!

    Wouldn't you love to know just what he was thinking in that shot ... I think he may be hatching a plot to take over the playground for his very own ;0)

      Ha ha! Yes! I'm sure he'd be happy to take over the entire playground... Alternatively he could have just been working out how to squish more of his sandwich in the dirt behind him without me seeing! He left a nice little pile of food there.

Week 34 Unfortunately things fell apart during the week.  I was hoping that we were all on the mend but it quickly became apparent that we weren't, and we went downhill quickly.  There's been more whinging and moaning and sleepless nights and day naps and the tissues... boxes and boxes of tissues.  It's just no fun.  When the sleepless nights turn into cranky days, you just lose your shit sometimes. You yell. You yell at anyone who's there. You say things I'm sure you wouldn't normally say if you were well.  And decisions, oh my god, why is it so friggin hard to make a decision??? Like what should we have for dinner? Or should I put that other load of washing on or will it piss down with rain?? This week I've really felt quite isolated.  On my own little sick island where nobody wants to go.  Some days you just wish you had that magic fairy that would come and get your shit done for you.  I've been so lethargic this week that makes it seem...

We had to go do some grocery shopping one day this week.  I was wearing a new-ish dress and could not for the life of me work out which shoes to wear with it. So Dylan takes the opportunity to choose some from my wardrobe and model them around the bedroom for me!  Such a funny little man!  He even got them on the right feet!   A portrait of my son, once a week, every week in 2015 Shoes were fun for a minute or two... then back to his trains of course!   Joining in with Jodi and Project 52 .   Bel

Week 11 What can I say about this week??  Not much other than there has been a serious lack of sleep.  I can mostly blame this lack of shut eye on the weeny boy, but otherwise I only have myself to blame.  One night out with my girlfriends was the culprit on one of those occasions.  But it was such a fun night, no kiddies, no husbands, just a few hours of good girl gossiping and frivolity!  The next day, being a work day, no amount of concealer would hide the under eye bags. The only thing to do was dose up on coffee and get through the day.  It was good in theory, but after multiple coffees; more than I would normally drink, I was buzzing! I was still buzzing at about 3am the next morning... Not the way to get a good night's sleep. One piece of exciting news for the week was that I finally got my new digital SLR camera! Yippee!!  The bad news is... I don't know how to use it other than "Auto" mode which kinda defeats the purpose. Oh well... It's s...
