02 Feb - Favourite

Today's topic is favourite.

I probably have lots of favourites. But here are a few of them I had at hand....


  • My first Mother's Day card with Dylan's little footprints on it. 
  • River God by Wilbur Smith... Dog eared and tatty cos I've read and enjoyed it so many times over.
  • My dragonfly necklace that my hubby bought for me as a surprise from Tiffanys. Very fitting as my most favourite of our wedding photos had by chance some dragonflies in the background by the vines.
  • Miss Dior Cherie. Just love it's sweetness.
  • The patchwork quilt my beautiful and talented mum made for my hubby and I for our engagement and then wedding.

Week 34 Unfortunately things fell apart during the week.  I was hoping that we were all on the mend but it quickly became apparent that we weren't, and we went downhill quickly.  There's been more whinging and moaning and sleepless nights and day naps and the tissues... boxes and boxes of tissues.  It's just no fun.  When the sleepless nights turn into cranky days, you just lose your shit sometimes. You yell. You yell at anyone who's there. You say things I'm sure you wouldn't normally say if you were well.  And decisions, oh my god, why is it so friggin hard to make a decision??? Like what should we have for dinner? Or should I put that other load of washing on or will it piss down with rain?? We had to go do some grocery shopping one day this week.  I was wearing a new-ish dress and could not for the life of me work out which shoes to wear with it. So Dylan takes the opportunity to choose some from my wardrobe and model them around the bedroom for me!  Such a funny little man!  He even got them on the right feet!   A portrait of my son, once a week, every week in 2015 Shoes were fun for a minute or two... then back to his trains of course!   Joining in with Jodi and Project 52 .   Bel

Week 11 What can I say about this week??  Not much other than there has been a serious lack of sleep.  I can mostly blame this lack of shut eye on the weeny boy, but otherwise I only have myself to blame.  One night out with my girlfriends was the culprit on one of those occasions.  But it was such a fun night, no kiddies, no husbands, just a few hours of good girl gossiping and frivolity!  The next day, being a work day, no amount of concealer would hide the under eye bags. The only thing to do was dose up on coffee and get through the day.  It was good in theory, but after multiple coffees; more than I would normally drink, I was buzzing! I was still buzzing at about 3am the next morning... Not the way to get a good night's sleep. One piece of exciting news for the week was that I finally got my new digital SLR camera! Yippee!!  The bad news is... I don't know how to use it other than "Auto" mode which kinda defeats the purpose. Oh well... It's s...
