26 Feb - Light

Today's topic for the February Photo a Day challenge is "Light".

I tried taking a few pics in the morning when it was bright and sunny, but they all turned out a bit rubbish.  Late this afternoon before it started raining I got only 2 shots in before my camera battery died. By the time it was recharged I was off to my boxing/aerobics class, and it was nightfall by the time I got home. So I kept my fingers crossed that one of my shots was ok.

Kinda dramatic sky don't you think?

    It IS dramatic! And we are still having flashes of light in our sky here - someone is having quite a thunderstorm over the mountains somewhere. xxx

We had to go do some grocery shopping one day this week.  I was wearing a new-ish dress and could not for the life of me work out which shoes to wear with it. Whatever happened to my sweet bubba and where did this cheeky, mischievous, small boy come from?  My goodness Dylan has been hard work lately.  Everything takes twice as long as it should.  Whether it's sitting at the table for dinner or finding a pair of socks to wear.  He just doesn't listen.  It drives me bonkers!  Today he played outside with his cozy coupe and his tricycle while I did some gardening.  He wasn't content with staying behind the gate, he had to come and see what I was doing.  Only after I told him about a thousand times to not touch the rose bush (so of course he got spiked), he left and went back into the yard.  He then proceeded to scare the pants off me by zooming down the driveway on his tricycle, seemingly out of control, heading straight for the road, before giggling like crazy and stopping.  I'm sure he's giving me grey hairs and a one way ticket to the loony bin. Week 25 On Friday my weeny boy turned 18 months old! Where the hell has that time gone?  Other than the tantrums, we are so loving this age! Dylan just wants to play and have fun. After last weekend where Dylan had a blast at his cousin Charlie's 2nd birthday party, we decided he looked like he needed a new toy to keep him occupied.  Dylan had never seen or sat in one of those cozy coupe cars before, and at first he didn't seem to like it, but soon a smile crept across his face a mile wide.  So after test driving Charlie's car, we decided we'd get him one - although hubby was petrified of dents in the garage door!  Saturday morning we led Dylan out to the garage and wow was he surprised!!  I think I spent hours and hours pushing him up and down the driveway, around the cars under the carport, and we even went on a little jaunt down to the end of the street and back on the footpath.  It brought a smile to a few of the neighbours who saw him heading down ...
