Week 17 Easter is over and ANZAC day is done and dusted.   We've had pretty good weather the entire period, but that has not stopped Dylan going to his wardrobe and retrieving his new gumboots.  He loves them! So when we did finally have a wet day he was allowed to play outside for a while. He ran up and down the driveway with his walker. He picked cherry tomatoes from the garden. He conquered the front stairs..... well kind of... A photo of my son, once a week, every week in 2014 It's terrible when you lose your boot!  He just couldn't get up the stairs without losing at least one gumboot, every single time he tried! Some days, I just can't believe how big my weeny boy is getting.  On Easter Monday we had a picnic in a local park where we caught up with all the old Playgroup mums and bubs.... not that you could call any of them "bubs" anymore!  They are all walking, playing, getting into mischief and having toddler tantrums.  I met all these mums at the local Baby Health Clinic when all our babies were just a few weeks old.  It's been just amazing to see how much and how quickly they've all grown. Yesterday I had a lovely catch up two of my old friends and their kiddies.  We met up at a Play centre roughly in the middle of where we all live in Sydney.  I wasn't sure how Dylan would go on all the equipment, but he had a blast!  He was climbing in and out of ball pits, trying out all the slippery slides, and even had his first bounce on a trampoline.  He just loved it and wanted to be near all the other kids.  He was well and truly worn out by the time we left.  And so was

Week 16 Happy Easter!  The Easter bunny came to visit us this morning. As luck would have it, the Egg hunt wasn't ready until breakfast was done and our morning coffees were savoured.  Bright sunshine greeted Dylan as he was presented with a little basket and ushered in the back yard. He immediately saw the first group of eggs near the herb pots, but needed a bit of help to point him in the direction of the next patch of chocolatey goodness.  Dylan has only ever really had chocolate once before, so today was more about the shiny bright papers, but he had fun collecting the eggs and bunnies and popping them in his basket.  A photo of my son once a week, every week in 2014 Joining in with Jodi and Project 52 . Week 14 We had a disaster this morning. A disaster of toddler EPIC proportions! After a particularly foul smell deposit into his nappy we were changing Dylan who happened to still be cuddling his favourite teddy/blanket. Teddy was thrust down all of a sudden and landed right in the poo!  So I then had to struggle to get poo-covered teddy away and finish cleaning him up and changing him. Teddy went straight off to the washing machine and was going round and round in no time. Dylan will often carry around teddy/blanket his entire waking hours, and will not sleep without him.  So we quickly got him outside and busy with toys, the garden... and dirt.  Somehow Dylan spotted this tiny gap in the fence and decided he must see what's beyond the backyard!  You cheeky nosy boy!!
