Dylan - You've been a bit pushed aside this past week.  Your baby brother was having his 1st birthday and it was all about him.  You took it so well though.  You've been excited about the birthday cake for days, and even helped when we went to the toy shop to purchase Tristan's birthday present.  You let him have the spotlight, but we loved that you seemed so happy for him.  One year olds definitely need their big brother's assistance to unwrap birthday present, and you were just the man for the job!  All of Tristan's new toys have been tested for maximum fun and enjoyment by you, regardless if we think they are age appropriate more to babies than big 4 year olds.  No wonder Tristan looks up to you and loves you so much our darling Dylan.

Tristan - Happy 1st Birthday beautiful boy!  WE MADE IT! WE SURVIVED! There were times that I doubted we could get through, but we did it.  You are here and we love you.  You're a much more settled baby now that you've decided to nap pretty well during the day and to sleep through the night.  Even though I've been back to work not even 1 month, I had to take the day off work for your birthday. To spend a bit more time with you, give you extra birthday cuddles and bake a cake for you.  You weren't quite up to speed with unwrapping presents, but lucky Dylan knew what to do.  We had a little afternoon tea party for you yesterday for just the family.  You are truly loved by all little man.

Week 34 Unfortunately things fell apart during the week.  I was hoping that we were all on the mend but it quickly became apparent that we weren't, and we went downhill quickly.  There's been more whinging and moaning and sleepless nights and day naps and the tissues... boxes and boxes of tissues.  It's just no fun.  When the sleepless nights turn into cranky days, you just lose your shit sometimes. You yell. You yell at anyone who's there. You say things I'm sure you wouldn't normally say if you were well.  And decisions, oh my god, why is it so friggin hard to make a decision??? Like what should we have for dinner? Or should I put that other load of washing on or will it piss down with rain?? This week I've really felt quite isolated.  On my own little sick island where nobody wants to go.  Some days you just wish you had that magic fairy that would come and get your shit done for you.  I've been so lethargic this week that makes it seem everything

I took these shots a few weeks ago and have been meaning to post some but I just never seem to get around to it.  These were taken one evening straight after Dylan's bath when he clearly had had too much energy!  He ran off from his room before we could get a nappy on him, let alone some pyjamas.  He grabbed his bouncing bull "Brutus" and hopped away giggling and having a great time.  I just love his wet curly hair bouncing up and down!! Overall not a bad week here. We've had a few outings, been on some walks and a 4th birthday party.  Its been a mostly wet weekend, and the perfect opportunity for cuddles on the lounge with my boys, and a little me time.  I've got the best excuse for some quiet days at home.  Hubby bought me (or was instructed to buy me) the box set of the Offspring TV show on DVD.  I love it! I've gone back to the beginning to watch the early years and see the episodes I missed out on, and to refresh my memory on the ones I saw.  So looking forward to the new season starting in a few weeks! Tristan has been pretty good this past week.  Napping has been reasonable and night times are ok.  He had a few feeding strikes, but I knew he wouldn't starve himself, so I haven't been too worried.  This past week he hit 12 weeks old and I'm noticing his size 000 clothes getting a bit tighter.  I'm sure by this age Dylan was barely into 000!  Tristan has been smiling so much, and I
